CANVAS BOARDS

Rigid enough for quick, gestural paint sketches, yet economical enough to use in the classroom for warm-ups and compositional planning, Crescent Canvas Boards feature a toothy surface that holds paint well. Their solid cream core provides a consistent surface. The medium-weight boards provide a sturdy, durable substrate, and the heavyweight boards are triple-thick to provide extra strength for rigorous painting techniques.

For Paint Best for paint like watercolor, acrylics and gouache. Also good for light collage. Watercolor boards are extra thick to prevent warping. Watercolor board is not recommended for oil paint unless primed with gesso first. Board edges should be taped or waxed when heavy washes are used.
